Privacy Policy

1. Local-First Design

SimpleFixAI operates entirely on your local machine. Your diagnostic results, repair history, system snapshots, and undo data are stored on your PC and are never transmitted to our servers.

2. What We Collect

When anonymous telemetry is enabled (the default), we collect:

• Usage events: Whether a repair ran and whether it succeeded or failed
• Category of repair: The general category (e.g., “network”, “disk”) not the specific diagnostic content
• App version and OS version: To identify compatibility issues
• Hardware tier: A general classification (e.g., “8GB RAM tier”) not your specific hardware serial numbers or identifiers
• Timestamps: When events occurred

3. What We Do NOT Collect

• Your name, email address, or any personal identifiers (unless you create an account)
• File names, file contents, or directory paths from your system
• Diagnostic output, error messages, or system scan results
• IP addresses (our telemetry endpoint does not log IPs)
• Screenshots, keystrokes, or screen recordings
• Registry values, service configurations, or system state data

4. Account Data

If you create an account (optional, not required to use SimpleFixAI), we store:

• Email address
• Subscription tier and billing status
• Account creation date

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers, CVVs, or full payment details. See stripe.com/privacy for their data practices.

5. Your Controls

• Disable telemetry: Settings → Privacy → turn off “Share anonymous usage data.” When disabled, all queued telemetry events are deleted and no future events are sent.
• Delete your account: Contact support@simplefixai.com. We will delete your account data within 30 days.
• Your repair data stays local: Uninstalling SimpleFixAI removes the app. Your snapshot data is stored in %LOCALAPPDATA%\SimpleFixAI\ and you can delete this folder to remove all local data.

6. Third-Party Services

• Stripe: Payment processing for Pro and Lifetime subscriptions
• Supabase: Account authentication and subscription management
• Cloudflare: Anonymous telemetry ingestion (when enabled) and app update delivery

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

7. Children's Privacy

SimpleFixAI is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Data Retention

• Telemetry data: Aggregated and anonymized. Individual events are not retained beyond 90 days.
• Account data: Retained while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of account deletion request.
• Local data: Stored on your PC under your control. SimpleFixAI retains the 20 most recent repair snapshots and prunes older ones automatically.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes through the app or on our website. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
