The Story
My parents called me every day about their computer. WiFi down. Printer offline. Some message they didn't understand. I'm an enterprise IT admin, so I fix these exact things across hundreds of machines at work, then come home and fix them again for my family.
Here is the part that always bothered me: Windows already ships with every tool needed to fix itself. The problem was never the tools. It was knowing which one to run, in what order, and why, and being honest when a fix will not help. So I built the brain that sits on top of them.
The first real test was a bad one. My parents' PC had two failures at once, dead network adapters and a temporary profile that wiped their desktop. Eight manual steps over the phone.
That loop never stopped. Every family call and every piece of public beta feedback turns into a new capability, and the catalog now covers over 140 common Windows problems, each one snapshotted before it runs and reversible with a single click.
And it has outgrown the word “repair.” In the latest release, SimpleFixAI can change Windows settings and control apps on request, the things you would normally dig through Settings or Task Manager for, done by asking in plain English and undoable in one click. It never forces an app closed over unsaved work, never touches a critical Windows process, and the AI never writes its own scripts. Those rails do not come off.
Offline, plain English. Built by someone who still gets the family calls.
