Answers, not changes
Ask direct questions about specific Windows settings and get live, read-only answers in chat: what your power button and lid are set to do, which folders and files your antivirus is skipping, and whether SmartScreen download protection is actually on. The app runs a safe, pre-approved check and reports what it finds, and safety still outranks curiosity, so a question that hints at hardware damage gets the safety guidance first.
- Ask direct questions about specific Windows settings and get live, read-only answers in chat: what your power button and lid are set to do, which folders and files your antivirus is skipping, and whether SmartScreen download protection is actually on. The app runs a safe, pre-approved check and reports what it finds. The AI never writes a command; it can only pick from a fixed, reviewed list of read-only checks.
- Safety always outranks curiosity. A settings question that also mentions hardware damage words, like broken, damaged, or stuck, gets the hardware guidance instead of a settings readout, and anything physically dangerous, like a swollen battery or a burning smell, still shows the stop-using-your-device warning first.
- The power-plan check now reads Windows directly instead of parsing English text, so it works whatever your display language is set to.
- The SmartScreen answer now reports the state actually in effect, including when a company policy controls the setting.
- Behind the scenes, we hardened the review and safety test locks around the new read-only check layer. This is development-time work only and does not change how the app behaves.
