v1.7.43August 2026Current
Updates that leave your apps alone
SimpleFixAI recognizes the August 2026 Windows updates so a fully patched PC is told it is current, checks NVMe drive health before offering a restart repair, and installs its own updates without closing your Edge browser, Outlook, or Copilot.
- SimpleFixAI now recognizes the August 2026 Windows updates, so a fully patched PC is told it is current instead of being flagged, and its Secure Boot certificate guidance is tailored to your device. The certificate-expiry reminder appears only when your PC has not applied the certificate update, while the BitLocker recovery-key heads-up always appears on affected machines so a recovery prompt after an update never catches you without your key.
- On PCs with an NVMe drive that does not report the older drive-health attribute, the app can now confirm the drive is physically healthy through Windows' own physical-disk check before offering a restart disk repair, and it still refuses when it cannot confirm the drive is safe.
- Model downloads are faster and more resilient for people far from the download servers. The app can pull a model in parallel pieces and, if the main source is slow, switch to a faster mirror, while still verifying the finished file's size and checksum so a partial or mismatched download is never used.
- Installing or updating SimpleFixAI no longer closes your Edge browser or other apps that use the Edge WebView, such as the new Outlook or Copilot. It now closes only its own leftover background pieces, so an update finishes cleanly without disturbing your other open apps or risking unsaved work.
