Ask about your PC
Ask SimpleFixAI about your PC in plain language and get read-only answers about your hardware, services, and devices. Plus a restart disk repair for a system drive in real trouble, and a safety review that caught five issues before release.
- Ask about your PC in plain language and get read-only answers. You can now ask what hardware you have, such as your memory, processor, graphics, drive size, or Windows version, which background services are set to start automatically but are stopped, which devices are showing errors or are no longer present, and what repairs the app has done on this PC. These answers only report what is already known and never start a change on their own.
- Ask SimpleFixAI to run a disk repair that needs a restart. When your system drive shows real trouble, the app can schedule a Windows check-disk repair to run at your next restart, since the system drive cannot be repaired while Windows is using it. It only offers this when a physical-health check actually confirms a problem, refuses to run when it cannot read the drive's health, and tells you honestly when it is not safe to proceed.
- The app no longer offers a USB and device repair when the device that needs attention is not a USB device. Before, that offer could appear for a non-USB device and then do nothing if you said yes; now the app points you to a read-only device check instead, and the offer appears only when a USB device actually needs it.
- A pre-release safety review caught five issues before they shipped. The restart disk repair now refuses to run unless the drive's physical health is actually confirmed unhealthy and no longer treats a 'not scheduled' result as success; in chat, a vague 'how many times has this happened' no longer counts unrelated past repairs, a question that names a specific area like your printer or your network now matches that area instead of a more generic word, and questions about current memory or processor usage are no longer answered with your installed totals.
- Behind the scenes, new automated guardrails lock in the app's core safety rules so a future change cannot quietly break them, alongside added security and code-quality checks that run before every release. These are development-time safeguards and do not change how the app behaves.
