v1.7.36August 2026
The warning that stopped us
Our own release gate blocked this release until a safety warning was honest enough. The full network reset now warns before it changes anything, not after. Plus faster scans and a storage breakdown that works on huge folders.
- The full network reset now warns before it changes anything, not after. This deeper repair has to return your adapters to automatic addressing to do its job, so it now names the affected adapters up front, including on mixed machines where only one adapter is set manually, previews the consequence in a dry run, and tells you exactly what to re-enter afterward. One-click Undo restores your saved manual settings.
- This is the product promise applied to ourselves. Every release goes through an independent review, a second AI model that reads the entire change at maximum effort, and it can block us. On the first attempt to ship this release, that gate flagged the network reset for warning after the change instead of before, so the release stopped by its own rule. It only went out once the warning came first and the re-review passed clean.
- Network repairs now respect a manually configured IP address. On a static setup the routine renewal step is skipped and says so in plain words, instead of quietly undoing your configuration.
- Full scans are about a third faster. Every diagnostic check was individually timed, the four slowest were rebuilt to run side by side instead of one after another, and what each check reports is unchanged. We measured this on our development machine.
- The storage breakdown now shows real numbers on machines with enormous temporary folders. A temp folder with over a hundred thousand subfolders used to make the storage scan quietly give up; a new parallel walker covers even the biggest trees in seconds, and if it cannot finish completely it says so instead of showing a partial number as the total.
