v1.7.32August 2026
Your look, your choice
Dark mode arrives: Light, Dark, or Follow Windows, remembered across restarts. Plus an undo honesty fix: undo no longer reports failures it did not have.
- Dark mode is here. Settings has a new Appearance section with three choices: Light, Dark, and Follow Windows, which tracks your Windows light or dark setting and switches the moment Windows does. Light stays the default, so nothing changes unless you choose it. Your choice is remembered across restarts, and the app starts in your chosen look without flashing the wrong one first
- Every screen was moved onto one shared color system so both looks stay consistent everywhere: the dashboard, chat, repair progress, history, and settings. Printed repair reports always use the light look so paper stays readable. We measured the readability of every color pairing in dark mode against the WCAG accessibility standard and disclose the two pairings that fall short by design instead of hiding them
- Undo no longer reports failures it did not have. After some repairs, the safety backup recorded every background service on the machine and undo tried to set them all back. Protected Windows services refused, and each refusal was counted as a failure, so a perfectly good undo could tell you it failed. Undo now restores only services the repair actually changed, and still reports honestly if a service it needs to restore is missing. We found this by running a real repair and its undo on a clean test machine and reading every line of what it reported
- Buttons on the teal action color now always use white text, one consistent look across the app
