Four focused improvements from real user reports: a Dell overheating heads-up, add the AI model later, no more false Defender nagging, and an honest warning before USB repairs.

• A heads-up for Dell PCs hit by the July 2026 Windows update overheating issue. Some Dell laptops that installed a July 2026 Windows update began overheating and shutting down, a problem Microsoft and Dell acknowledged and later fixed in a follow-up update. SimpleFixAI now recognizes this exact situation and shows a plain-language heads-up, only when the machine is a Dell, an affected update is installed, the follow-up fix is not, and the driver involved is actually showing an error. Because overheating is a hardware-safety matter, it only explains the issue and points you to the Windows update that fixes it, and never changes anything about your hardware automatically
• Add the AI model later from Settings. If you skipped the optional AI model download during setup, Settings now has a Download AI model button that takes you straight back to the download screen. Before this there was no way back once you had skipped it
• No more false Windows Defender is out of date nagging. If you run another antivirus, such as Malwarebytes, Windows Defender correctly steps aside into a passive role and stops updating on its own. Older builds still nagged that Defender was out of date, which was wrong and confusing. The app now stays quiet about Defender in this case, but only when it can confirm another antivirus is registered and Defender is genuinely passive. If that is uncertain, or if Defender is actually switched off, the warning stays
• An honest warning before USB repairs. A wireless keyboard or mouse that plugs in through a small USB receiver can briefly disconnect while a USB repair runs. The repair steps now say this up front, so a momentary loss of your keyboard or mouse during the repair is expected rather than alarming
