SimpleFixAI moves beyond repair: change Windows settings and control apps on request, every change snapshotted and reversible.

• SimpleFixAI now goes beyond fixing what is broken. Ask it in plain English to change a Windows setting or control an app, and it does. You can switch dark mode on or off, turn on night light to cut blue light, quiet your notifications with do not disturb, silence the Windows startup sound, or change how long before your PC sleeps. You can also open, close, or restart a running app by name, like open Chrome or restart Discord
• Every change you ask for is treated like a repair. It takes a safety snapshot first, so one click reverses it. A change you ask for is never a change you are stuck with
• App control has firm limits. A protected list of critical Windows processes can never be closed or force-stopped, and that list is checked before every action. And if an app is showing a Save changes prompt, SimpleFixAI leaves it running so you can save first, rather than forcing it closed over your unsaved work
• One deliberate exception, stated honestly: changing your default browser is guidance, not a silent switch, because Windows protects that choice at a level an app should not quietly override. SimpleFixAI walks you to the right Settings page instead of pretending to set it for you
• The safety boundary holds. The AI still never writes PowerShell. It selects from a fixed list of pre-written, reviewed scripts, and an app name you type is carried to those scripts as plain data only, checked by an independent security review so it cannot be used to run anything else
