• SimpleFixAI now knows when the real fix is a restart, not a repair. When Windows has half applied an update and is only waiting on a reboot, a component can look broken when it is really just that pending restart, so the app tells you to restart first instead of proposing a deeper repair. It says Restart, not Shut Down, because with Fast Startup a shutdown does not finish the pending update and a restart does
• Unblock downloaded files that Office refuses to open. Files saved from the internet carry a mark that can make Office block them or open them locked in Protected View. SimpleFixAI can find those files in your common folders and clear that mark, and it is fully undoable because every file's original state is backed up first. It checks each file honestly and skips anything only pretending to be a document, so a disguised program is never unblocked
• Restart a stuck app just by asking. When one of the apps people most often have to force-quit locks up, Discord, Spotify, Teams, a browser and the like, you can ask SimpleFixAI in plain English to restart it. It closes the app gently, forces it only if needed, and relaunches the exact same program from its verified install location, so a look-alike can never be started in its place, and Windows system processes are refused even on request. Your unsaved work is protected: if the app is showing a save prompt, SimpleFixAI leaves it running and tells you to finish saving. It always asks before it runs and is never automatic
• Safer behavior when the settings file cannot be read. If the app's own settings are present but unreadable, SimpleFixAI no longer assumes defaults that could allow an automatic change. It asks before each fix, turns off automatic actions until the settings can be read again, and tells you plainly that it is doing so
• Two new one-click repairs join the catalog this release, the file unblocker and the app restarter above, and every repair still takes its safety snapshot first so one-click undo keeps working exactly as before
