v1.7.13July 2026
Repair honesty
Every repair ends in one of three honest states, and the app never re-proposes a repair that did not help.
- Every repair now ends in one of three honest states. Confirmed means a fresh check shows the problem is actually gone. Not yet verified means the repair ran cleanly but the result cannot be proven yet, for example because a restart has to happen first. Did not hold means the problem is measurably still there. Before this release, a repair that could not be verified was quietly treated as a success forever
- No more repeating a repair that did not help. When you say the problem is still there, SimpleFixAI remembers what it already tried this conversation, offers the next deeper repair instead of the same one, and when it has run out of options it says so plainly and points you to support rather than going quiet
- Calmer first, firmer later. The first time a repair cannot be confirmed the message stays calm and explains how to tell whether it worked. If the same repair fails again, SimpleFixAI says so directly and moves up to the next step, always asking before it runs a deeper repair
- Every repair still takes its safety snapshot first, so one-click undo keeps working exactly as before
- Still completely free during beta, still fully offline, still no account required
